effect の代わりに、influence や impact に置き換えることもできます。

②S allow [enable] people [us] to do ~. 「Sは人々[私たち]が~するのを許可する[可能にする]」 例: The internet allows students to get a lot of information. ※ The internet の The を忘れないように!
Students can get a lot of information on the internet. よりも英語らしい文です。いろいろなトピックで使える表現です。
internet は大文字ではなく、小文字から始めてもOKになりました。The Internet と大文字で書いても大丈夫です。
2016年から internet は普通の英単語になったため、海外の雑誌でも internet と小文字が多いです。

stay healthy もよく使える表現です!

④S help (us) (to) save time [money]. 「Sは私たちが時間[お金]を節約するのに役立つ。」 例: Used products help us save money.
help save time と書いても、help us to save と書いても、どちらでもOKです。to を書かない方が、今は主流となっています。
⑤S spend more time (in) -ing.
⑤S spend more [less] time [money] (in) -ing. 「Sが~するのにより時間[お金]がかかる[かからない]」 例: By reducing time on social media, I can spend much more time reading and learning new things.
英語でSNSのことを social mediaといいます。SNSをそのまま言うのは一般的ではありません。
media は mudium の複数形のため、social medias と書く必要はありません。

テレビゲームは video games です。テレビゲームは和製英語なので注意!
「ストレスが増える」は increase one’s stress. と言います。
⑦It’s likely that ~.
⑦It’s likely that ~. 「~はありそうだ。」 例: It’s likely that they will go to gyms when they have free time.
It’s likely that ~ .は断定をさける表現です。
It’s likely that がないと、「自由時間があったら、みんなほぼ100%ジムに行くだろう」という意味になってしまいます。
話し言葉では It’s のように短縮形を使うのが一般的です。
⑧S can get [become] addicted to ~.
⑧S can get [become] addicted to ~. 「Sは~に依存する可能性がある。」 例: You can get addicted to social media [the internet].
can は「できる」ではなく「~の可能性がある」の意味です。
⑦で紹介した It is likely that と同様に、断定を避ける表現で can は使えます。
can がないと「SNSに100%依存する」という意味になってしまいます。
「依存や中毒」は最近ホットなトピックなので、覚えておきましょう。

⑨S will boost [enhance] the economy. 「Sは経済を活発化するだろう。」 ex. Globalization will boost the economy all over the world.
多くのことはお金が関わっているので、この表現はいろいろなトピックで使えます。
⑩原因 lead to 結果.
⑩原因 lead to 結果. 「原因によって結果になる」 ex. Overwork led to depression. ※ lead – led – led ex. Depression resulted from overwork.
原因・結果を表す表現は、ライティングの模範解答でよく使われています。
